Thoughts for a Thursday

"A politician thinks of the next election; a statesman thinks of the next generation."
- James Freeman Clarke

Today is polling day for the Irish Presidential Election. If you're eligible to vote, please do so and have your say! I'll be voting for Senator David Norris :)

Come have tea with me!

Hey Everyone!

I'll be in Drogheda in Co. Louth next Wednesday October 26th as special guest at The Author's Tea Party, a monthly event run by Saltwater Scribblers in the Droichead Arts Centre.

It starts at 7.30 p.m. and is free! All are welcome!

From the facebook event page:
Saltwater Scribblers present The Author's Tea Party; a celebration of reading, writing and books with special guest Laura Jane Cassidy, author of Angel Kiss. All are welcome to this free event and it may be of particular interest to teens or those who wish to write for young people. Laura will be discussing her journey from idea to finished book as well as reading from her book and signing copies on the night.

This will be the first in a new series of special events. The Author's Tea Party will be held at The Droichead Arts Centre on the last Wednesday of every month and will feature different writers and guest speakers each month.

I've heard there will be cucumber sandwiches... how very Importance of Being Earnest! I'm super excited! Hope to see some of you there!

Thoughts for a Thursday

“What separates us from the animals, what separates us from the chaos, is our ability to mourn people we’ve never met.”
