A little update

Last week I went to a play - Ibsen's John Gabriel Borkman at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin. It stared none other than...Alan Rickman! I think he's a great actor and also think he's amazingly cool. As I'm sure many of you know, he plays Snape in the Harry Potter films, and Snape is my second favourite character in the series (after Hermione). I usually get really excited when I'm going to the theatre anyway, but this time I was *super* excited. I went to a preview, and was in the front row. For theatre the front row isn't ideal, as you can't really see the whole stage, but all other seats were sold except for the very back, and I wasn't gonna miss out on being that close to Alan Rickman. It was so amazing to watch such excellent acting. The entire cast were great, I highly recommend it.

I'm also so excited that you guys liked the cover! My editor was delighted to read all your comments too! For me, the past week basically consisted of: do some edits, stare at pretty cover, do some edits, stare at pretty cover some more. I love it! My Mum printed it off and taped it around an actual book, to see what it would look like. It's now on the dresser in our kitchen at home. (Yep, my Mum's my number one fan).

I know I'm starting to sound a bit like a broken record, but just in case you guys are wondering, I'm still putting the final touches to Angel Kiss. I've been rewriting for a year now, but the new deadline for the final draft to go to the copy editors is mid November, so the end is in sight!

I was just thinking this morning; I don't know what I'd do without music. Listening to music always helps me reach my deadlines. My little brother has this great t-shirt that he got in Toronto. It says: 'Music is life - the rest is just details.'

Literary Style

I think this Anna Sui dress is so pretty. Totally out of my budget of course, but maybe something similar will pop up on the highstreet!
